I think I have COVID-19, what do I do?
Answer:
If you begin to feel sick, even if you have mild symptoms such as a low-grade fever (37.3 C or above) a headache and a slight runny nose it is essential that you self-isolate. This means you should stay at home and not be in contact with anyone else. If you are in need of essential items you should have someone bring you supplies by leaving them at a safe distance from you e.g. outside your home before collecting. If this is not an option for you and you need supplies urgently e.g. to buy food or medicine, you must wear a mask to avoid infecting other people.
If you develop more severe symptoms such as high fever, a consistent cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical advice as soon as possible over the phone. Calling your health care provider in advance will allow them to quickly direct you to the right health facility. This will also help to prevent the possible spread of COVID-19.
