We’ve teamed up with several South African radio stations to bring you a completely different experience: The MTV Shuga: Down South radio drama.

Every week, we’ll be hearing a new story from a different character as we bring some of the issues we tackled on television to the radio airwaves. To make it easier for you to tune in each week, we’ve made this simple guide showing you where you can listen to this exciting drama.


You can’t talk about South African radio without mentioning YFM. The youth-driven platform has given birth to some of the biggest personalities in the radio game, and this year we’ve teamed up with our friends at 99.2 to deliver episodes of MTV Shuga every week followed by a 20-minute discussion with that week’s character.
